Singmaster was emeritus professor of mathematics at London South Bank University, and was a puzzle historian, a big fan of mechanical puzzles, and an early adopter and promoter of the Rubik's Cube. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, a little worn, with loss to the spine. Tears to the rear joint. Light rubbing and discolouration to the cloth. Minor bumping to the extremities. Front endpaper has been removed. Prior owner's ink to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean, with some handling marks. Good .
