Significant fading to cloth and mould residue to board and back strip tails, with major residue to text block tail. Hinges strained, with front board fairly tender, and rear board just a touch tender. Damp staining and mould penetrates through the pastedowns to the entirety of the text block, with each leaf partially adhered to those surrounding it, and losses to tails of title page, frontispiece and following five leaves. Mould most significant from front free endpaper to page 80, and from page 205 to rear free endpaper, obscuring text in several locations.
