A collection of the novels and tales of Maria Edgeworth, a prolific Anglo-Irish novelist of adult and children's literature. As one of the first realist writers in children's literature, she became a significant figure in the evolution of the novel in Europe. During the first decade of the nineteenth century she was one of the most widely read novelists in Britain and Ireland, while today she is mostly remembered for her first novel Castle Rackrent. This collection contains some of her best known and most highly regarded works, including: Moral Tales, Popular Tales, Belinda, Castle Rackrent, Tales of Fashionable Life, The Absentee, Patronage, Comic Dramas, Harrington, Helen, and many others.
