This edition was intended as a library edition for ordinary households. Its serialised publication format meant that less affluent families could own the entire twenty-two volumes. Bleak House (1873), with sixty-one illustrations by F. Barnard, including three plates.Little Dorrit (1873), with fifty-eight illustrations by J.
