It also became known for its engravings and artwork. This volume includes contributions from William C. Bryant, J. Fenimore Cooper, Longfellow (who was paid about $50 for each poem printed) and Miss C. M. Sedgwick, among others. Decorated with steel engravings throughout. Bound in half morocco, with cloth boards. Externally, with marks to the boards and light rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned, with scattered spots and tidemarks.
