Goodell was a professor of Greek at Yale from 1888 to 1920. During his career he published volumes on Greece and classical authors. An anthology of poetry by Walter Brooks, collecting together twenty-five poems.The poems in this volume include: 'Imagination', 'Love's Needs', 'Diversion', 'Lightheartedness', 'Illusions', 'The Prayer Rug', 'Blossoms', and more.Yale University Library label to the front paste down, gifted to the Library by Mrs. Thomas D.
