Here he is also depicted as the author of papers and letters published for The Spectator. Charmingly illustrated throughout with vignettes by Hugh Thomson, noted for his pen-and-ink drawings. In the publisher's original gilt-decorated cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with rubbing and bumping to the extremities and minor marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
