He is a fickle and depraved tyrant, known for his unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and his desire to be considered "correct" by important scholars. Written by William Thomas Beckford, an English novelist, art critic, planter and politician, reputed at one stage to be England's richest commoner. Translated by Herbert B. Grimsditch, a British writer and translator. Illustrated by Marion Victoria Dorn, an American textile designer also known to have produced wallpaper, graphics, and illustrations. In the original paper covered boards. Externally, smart with minor rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Light sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
