Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and board edges with the odd small mark. Small splits resulting in minor loss to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine as well as the board edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Age toning to the extremities and endpapers. A contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Good . Ill.: F. Carruthers Gould.
