They were involved in various legal matters, including acting as auctioneers and handling property transactions.This volume details properties owned in the Parishes of Almondsbury and Henbury in Gloucester and in Portskewett, Caldicot and Rogiet in Monmouth. With four columns, the volume offers a description of the property, details the 'owners or reputed owners', the 'lessees or reputed lessees', and the occupiers. The majority of the properties are arable land or pasture.An informative and very scarce volume published by the firm of solicitors to detail the property transactions that had to be made to make way for the enormous construction, which ultimately had a length of 4 miles 628 yards, or 7,012 m.
