Also included is a list of common words to be known at sight, to the rear of the work. Illustrated with eight striking illustrations to accompany the lessons. With the ink inscription: "The gift of his Papa to his dear boy, Wm Hutchinson, on the anniversary of his birthday, being five years old. Aug. 11th 1860.". Bound in paper-covered card wraps. Internally, text is printed on cloth. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the wraps. Tears to the joints causing backstrip to lift. Internally, firmly bound.
