In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed. Light bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss and lifting to the head and tail of the spines, loss heavier to the heads. A few light marks to the boards and spines. Front joint is starting Volume I. Cracks to the head and tail of the rear joint of Volume I, head of the front joint of Volume II, head of the joints of Volume III, and tail of the rear joint of Volume IV. Front hinge of Volume I is strained, rear hinge is starting. Hinges starting to Volumes II, III, and IV. Bookplate to the front paste downs. Rear endpaper of Volume III is detached but present. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots and handling marks. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
