He remained there for fourteen months, researching the local botany and wildlife, travelling widely across South Africa.An interesting work on the country, with details on the political state of the country, as well as it's native tribes. In the original publisher's cloth binding, rebacked with the original boards and spine restored, with renewed endpapers. Externally, generally smart. Original backstrip is incomplete with some loss, and lifting to the tail. Spine is a little discoloured. Light marks and fading to the boards. Minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean, with some scattered spots, including to the plates. Very Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Very Good .
