Manetho's history of Egypt lists eight successive Persian kings beginning with Cambyses, the son of Cyrus the Great.Emmanuel de Rougé was a curator of the Egyptian Museum of the Louvre, State Councilor and professor of Egyptian archeology at the Collège de France, as well as an author of several books on Egypt and its history. In a half morocco binding. Externally, sound though somewhat rubbed. A little cracking to the head of the front joint. Small losses of leather to the head and tail of the spine and to the corners. Hinges are starting but remain firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd handling mark to the first couple of pages. Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Good .
