With the bookplate of English writer and publisher, John Hadfield, best known for his comic novel 'Love on a Branch Line (1959). Bound by Zaehnsdorf in half calf with marble paper-covered boards. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing to the extremities and a few small marks. Fading to the extremities and spine. Bookplate to the front paste down. Spotting to the fore edge.
