Privately printed for the author, with six pages of subscribers to the front of the work. With the ink inscription of Nancy Alicia Molteno, dated December 1830. Nancy was the younger sister of Sir John Charles Molteno, the first Prime Minister of the Cape Colony, serving from 1872 to 1878.Endpapers renewed, with the original blanks retained. Bound in full diced calf, rebacked and with the spine laid down. Endpapers renewed and blanks retained. Externally, excellent, with light loss to the spine during the rebacking, and light rubbing to leather. A few marks to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
