The novel follows a young girl coming of age, and the hierarchy and difficulties of her family's social set, a brilliant look at decadence and corruption in the fin de siecle. Some minor marks to the boards and spines, a little heavier to 'Washington Square' and 'Lesson of the Master', with dampstains to the fore edges of the front boards.
