Collated, lacking the plates to p. 1 and 8, with one disbound but present. With a letter from the author adhered to the verso of the front free endpaper, asking the recipient on their opinion on their book.  This very scarce work was written by Agnes Rous Howell, a writer and poet from Norfolk. The volume features a collection of poetry, inspired by pictures which accompany the works, with many featuring Christian themes. In the publisher's original decorative cloth. Undated, dated by a copy held by the British Library. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally worn with fading to the spine, a damp stains and other marks to the boards, and bumping, rubbing and small closed tears to the extremities. Front hinge weak, held by cords, tears and tidemarks to the endpapers. Internally, binding tender in places with one plate disbound but present.
