Letter from Doris to Eve, presenting the book, loosely inserted, dated March 1930. In the original publisher's paper covered boards, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Light age-toning and marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Spots to the paste downs and endpapers. Prior owner's pencil inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Dust wrapper is worn, with large chips to the head of the spine, and small chips to the extremities. Wraps are age-toned with light marks. Closed tear to the front wrap, and to the rear joint. Tape repairs to the reverse of the dust wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
