It is considered a national epic of Spain. George Dennis, a British explorer who is best known for his written account of the Etruscan civilisation, compiled this work with the aim of exciting the British public's interest in the early poetry of Spain.  In the original cloth binding. Externally, with rubbing to the extremities, resulting in loss of cloth to the head and tail of spine. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound.
