The dust wrapper and illustrations were designed by Laurence Scarfe. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, exceptionally bright. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Inscription to front free endpaper. Spotting to text block fore edge. Significant loss and closed tear to dust wrapper back strip tail, with chipping and small closed tears to back strip head. Back strip a touch sunned. Small loss to head of rear wrap, with small closed tear to front wrap head, and small loss of paper to tail of fold of front flyleaf. Significant spotting to dust wrapper reverse.
