Presented to the Sette by the publisher John Lane, this work covers the instruments used, musical terms and expressions, and popular songs. Bound in quarter velvet. Externally excellent with slight fading to the spine and the odd minimal mark to the boards. Rear hinge tender, with the odd spot and minor age toning to the endpapers, and an ink inscription to the front. Internally frontispiece and a plate tender and binding strained and in places.
