This extensive collection features Dryden's poetry, plays, letters and various translations, as well as a memoir of his life by Walter Scott. Illustrated with a frontispiece to Volume I and a large folding plate to Volume VI. Collated, complete. With the bookplate of R. J. Lambton to each volume. Uniformly bound in full straight-grain morocco, retaining the half title and blanks. Endpapers renewed. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to extremities and joints, causing small cracks to joints. Hinges are slightly strained to most volumes, with the front hinge tender to I, II and XVII, and the rear hinge tender to I and VI. A small tear to the head of the front joint to I. A few light marks to boards. Bookplate to front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with scattered spotting and light handling marks, mainly to the first and last few pages. Small tide mark to the corner of the first six pages of IV, including title page, although not affecting text. Light edge wear and a few spots to folding plate. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
