Woodward provided illustrations for Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Anna Sewell's Black Beauty. This work was one of her early commissions. A delightful children's story, in which Princess Joan restores the heart of Jack, Prince of Hearts, and saves the kingdom. This work was written by children's author Sheila Braine.Undated, dated through copies held at the British Library. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with small marks to the boards and spine. Slightly faded to the spine. End papers are a little age toned, with a tear to the rear paste down.
