She travelled extensively throughout Spain, France, Holland, and Italy and spoke fluent Italian and German, and translated poetry from both languages.In her 70s, during World War II, Bary worked for the War Office in Liverpool.This volume is signed by two contributors to this collection, sisters Viola and Olivia Meynell, daughters of suffragist Alice Meynell and newspaper and publishing editor Wilfrid Meynell. In the publisher's original cloth backed paper covered boards. Back strip and board heads age toned. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Losses of paper to perimeters of back strip and front board labels. Handling marks to boards.
