A haunting story, Undine is the tale of a water spirit who marries a knight named Huldbrand in order to obtain a soul. In the original publisher's full cloth binding with gilt titles. Externally, generally smart with the odd, light handling mark and slight discolouration of the cloth, heaviest at the spine. A touch of rubbing and bumping, heaviest to the rear joint and the extremities where there is fractional loss to the cloth. Hinges are a trifle strained. Internally, generally firmly bound with bright, clean pages barring light age toning, heavier to the endpapers, and scattered spotting throughout. One marginal chip to the front first free endpaper.
