Farrow's first 'Wallypug' work, 'The Wallypug of Why', with the series as an entirety likened to 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland&apos. Lewis Carroll clearly inspired many of Farrow's characters, worlds and plots, with this book being rich in nonsense and absurd situations, humorously depicting a topsy-turvy land where the Wallpug is king.Many of the residents are talking animals with curious habits and quirks of personality — including a "socialistic cockatoo."Undated, dated from a copy held at the British Library. In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with slight bumping to the extremities and fading to the spine cloth. Faint damp marks to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound.
