Title: Bazin&Apos;S Gold
Description: London, Greening and Co. Ltd , 1906. First edition. Cloth. The very smart first edition of this vanishingly scarce adventure novel set in Scilly, by Ernest Cornish. A vanishingly scarce novel set across a voyage around the Isles of Scilly. With only four records of copies held institutionally. In the original cloth binding, which is charmingly decorated with a telegraph send from "Tom, King of Scilly" to Edward, King of England, stating "You look after your island, I will look after mine". A wealthy business man named Bazin is recommended to go on a sea voyage to Scilly to heal his nerves, and ends up infiltrating a palace, home to the King, Princess and Prince of Scilly. With a fifty-two page catalogue of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Darkening to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to the endpapers. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
