A very scarce satirical poem on the society of London during the Georgian era, in particular the upper-class women who frequented St. James's Park. An interesting and witty piece of social commentary. This poem contains a reference to David Garrick as Macbeth. The famous actor made his first appearance as Macbeth on the 7th January 1744, a portrayal which revived the play, with Garrick's own rewriting of Shakespeare's works.Collated, bound without gathering A, which included the half-title and title page. Register runs as B-D2. Publication information from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.Anonymously written. Disbound, lacking gathering A.
