His caricatures satirised contemporary society. He illustrated many of Dickens' novels, most notably 'Oliver Twist&apos.Collated, all plates are present. Lacking the original wraps.Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the Manchester Metropolitan University. Rebound in limp cloth. Externally, smart. A small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Hinges are starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front paste down.
