During World War II the estate was used by the Allies as an American hospital, and was the home of Prime Minister David Lloyd George in the early 20th century. The manor is now a B&B.This account book offers a unique insight into life in Kent during the Georgian era, with a look into Kentish agriculture. In the original paper covered boards. Externally, a little worn, with loss and lifting to the tail of the spine. Rubbing and marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Ink the boards and spine.
