Lucas was well-known for his anthologies of verse.This anthology includes the poems, printed in the original French, of Jean Froissart, Francois Villon, Alphonse de Lamartine, Victor Hugo, Paul Verlaine, Pierre de Ronsard, Alfred de Musset and many more. Additionally, this work contains a detailed introduction and notes. In a full calf binding. Externally, smart, with light rubbing to the joints, extremities and to the gilt crest to the front board.
