B.This set features two children's books by the French writer and historian, Hilaire Belloc. The set includes; Cautionary Tales for Children', and 'The Bad Child's Book of Beasts, Together With More Beasts for Worse Children', with these being two of his best known works. The verses aim to give advice to children and warn them away from bad behaviour. In the publisher's original pictorial hardbacks. Externally very smart to 'Cautionary Tales', with fading to the boards and slight handling marks. 'Book of Beasts' is worn with loss to the spine, fading to the boards, slight tidemarks to the rear, and closed tears to the joints. Ink inscription dated 1950 to the front free endpaper and spotting to the endpapers to 'Cautionary Tales&apos.
