With eight pages of advertisements to the rear.With the bookplate of Sir John Stuart Hepburn Forbes, 8th Baronet, of Monymusk, of Fettercairn and Pitsligo, to the front pastedown. He was a Scottish baronet, landowner, advocate and agriculturalist. With two leaves of notes in Forbes's hand to the rear of the work, and his inscription appearing to a small number of title page heads. In a half calf binding with marbled paper covered boards. Rubbing to back strip head and tail and joints. Head of front joint starting, but firmly held. Hinges strained, but firmly held. Bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, binding strained. Pages generally clean and bright, with the odd handling mark. Signed to head of one work. Former owner's inscriptions to a small number of title pages, with two leaves annotated by a prior owner bound in towards the rear. Good . Ill.: George Cruikshank. Good .
