There is also a charming inscription from the previous owner, A. W. Roberts, stating that it was received at "Drawing-Room Lounge" from the author on September 26th 1907.In the publisher's original cloth binding, with small decoration to the cloth. With two portrait frontispieces. This work offers sketches from Reverend Peter Featherstone's youth, education and his travels of various ciruits, such as Huddersfield, Newcastle and Leicester.  In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. With slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities, heaviest to the spine. With the author's presentation tipped in bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the previous owner's ink inscriptions to the front pastedown. Small bookplate of the letter 'L' to the front free endpaper.
