Collated, complete. Walter Johnson travelled around the country documenting the lives and practices of shepherds from the 1870s to the end of the century. His conversations are documented here, creating a fascinating glimpse into this part of English history. With a chapter on the Sussex shepherd and archaeologist, Stephen Blackmore. In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. With light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Small marks to the boards.
