Written by Robert Housman, an English clergyman and founder of St. Anne's Chapel. Previously held in the library of Thomas Knowlys-Parr, an English noble who owned Wymering Manor until his death in 1938 when the British Army took possession of the house for the duration of the Second World War. Bound in half crushed morocco with marbled boards. Externally, very smart with minor wear and light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and minor age toning to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the title page. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good .
