Two volumes of very scarce bye-laws for the borough of Grimsby, including a total of twenty-four pamphlets bound in two, with all of the original colourful wraps bound in. These volumes were compiled by the Grimsby Town Clerk, William Grange. He has noted the works included to the endpapers. In a full morocco binding. Externally, generally smart. Spines are a little faded. Light rubbing and marks to the boards and spines, with a small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spines. Light bumping to the extremities. Front hinge of the smaller volume is starting but firm. Blind stamp to the front endpapers. Ink note to the verso of the front endpaper of the larger volume, with ink and pencil to the recto of the front free endpaper of the smaller volume. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with the occasional spot and handling mark. Blind stamp to the front wrap of 'Nuisances&apos. The occasional stamp of the Grimsby Borough Police.
