The newspaper was a republican paper, and was known for being anti-aristocratic privilege. This set contains much of the year 1795, and provides a brilliant insight into live in England, in particular Sussex, in the Georgian era, with an array of adverts for products, companies, medicines, auctions, schools,and upcoming publications, as well as articles on local, national, and global news, and parliamentary proceedings.
