Volume one contains the session for 1859-1860 and is illustrated with nine plates, four of which are in colour. Volume two contains the session for 1861-1862 and is illustrated with one plate. With reference to subjects such as improvements in building materials, construction and rebuilding of the Royal Italian Opera House at Covent Garden, historical references to building and art in the Old Testament, the mode in which light was introduced into the Greek Temples, conservation of ancient architectural monuments, and more. Bound in full blue cloth with the original paper wraps bound in. Externally, very smart with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
