Known for his varied and eclectic writing style, Champsaur was a prominent figure in French society, producing a number of well-received novels, largely of the romance variety. This particular collection is divided into ten sections, including works such as 'Sauvés par l'Amant', 'La Faute de Lilas' and others. Wonderfully illustrated with numerous vignettes and eighteen full-page plates in colour by Italian artist, Manuel Orazi. Known for his art nouveau designs, Orazi's illustrations provide a delicate and elegant accompaniment to this work. Collated, complete. Bound in the publisher's paperback binding, with the original glassine cover. Externally, very smart, with light rubbing and the odd crease to wraps. The occasional mark to wraps and some discolouration to the spine. Lacking rear endpaper, with front a little strained. Internally, generally firmly bound, with light strain to the first few pages.
