Engraved by the Dalziel Brothers after J. Gordon Thomson. This novel was serialised in 'The Young Englishwoman', from February 1865 to early 1866, a monthly magazine published by Beeton. Written by James Greenwood. In a rebacked half morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, rubbed. Minor bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss of paper to the rear board. Light marks to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some scattered spots.
