The author, Henry Cory Rowley Becher, was an English-born Canadian attorney, based for most of his career in London, Ontario. This work presents a diary of his travels to and within Mexico in February and March of 1878, and features an extensive appendix. The author was admitted to the Royal Geographical Society in the year of its publication. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with minor loss of cloth to back strip tail. Front hinge strained, and tender. Rear hinge strained but firmly held.
