Description: Bath , Binns and Goodwin , 1848. Cloth. A pleasing facsimile copy of the complete collection of Deacon's Devotions, published as part of the 'Fragmenta Liturgica' series. The first edition thus of this facsimile printing. Volume five out of seven of the 'Fragmenta Liturgica' series. In the original cloth binding. This series published seven facsimile texts illustrative of the liturgy of the Church of England as well as the emendations of it. This volume contains the 'Compleat Collection of Devotions', originally printed in 1734 and created by Thomas Deacon. Deacon was known for his identification as a non-juror bishop, a group which split from the Church of England following the arrival of William and Mary.With a charming tipped in photograph from the previous owner of an unidentified man.  In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with light bumping to the extremities and a couple marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with the occasional spot.
