This charming children's pop-up book depicts an excursion to Santa's Merry Carnival, with sword-swallowing, clowns on unicycles, elephant rides, and many more activities, all run by Santa and his elves. Written by children's author Dorothy King, who was known for her educational works. Particularly scarce to see with all parts, including a metal crocodile, a working monkey trapeze and a paintbrush and cans. Collated, complete.The paintbrush and cans have not yet been used, with the intention being to add water to the cans, turning them into paint, and using the brush to fill in the blank illustrations.Ownership label of Megan and Michael Dawson to the inside of the box. Spiral bound in the publisher's original pictorial wraps, housed in the original box. Externally, very smart indeed, with a little shelf wear to the extremities only. Internally, firmly bound with minor shelf wear only. Box is a little worn, with rubbing and some lifting to the extremities. Tape repair to box, with a few spots and label remnants.
