These decorative bindings were intended as a souvenir piece, with their popularity growing during the first half of the twentieth century.A copy of The New Testament of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, translated out of the original Greek, and with the former translations diligently compared and revised by His Majesty's special command A. D. 1611. Illustrated with six colour illustrations and a frontispiece. Dated using Jisc, from copies of the work held at the University of Cambridge. Lacking the holy water, although the holy earth is present. Bound in quarter leather with wooden panels. Externally, smart, with slight rubbing to the spine causing the leather to lift at the head.
