Louis Giraud. The Bookano Stories began publication towards the end of the 1920s, and were the first 'automatic' books. In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, worn, lacking the backstrip. Light bumping to the extremities. Boards are rubbed and discoloured with a few light marks. Rubbing has resulted in a small amount of loss of paper. Hinges are strained. Internally, binding is strained in places. Pages are bright with the occasional spot and handling marks. Some of the illustrations have been hand-coloured by a prior owner.
