The work tells the story of a mysterious painting of the 'Women in Blue' which appears to have peculiar evil powers. Undated, dated by copies held institutionally. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally excellent with a slight lean and very minimal edge wear to the head and tail of the spine. Light offsetting to the endpapers. The wrap is sound with loss to the head of the front, closed tears to the extremities, sunning to the spine, light spotting and marks. Tape repairs to the verso.
