Louis Giraud. The Bookano Stories began publication towards the end of the 1920s, and were the first 'automatic' books.With the stamp of Michael and Megan Dawson, a husband and wife who established a successful business dealing in and restoring pop-up books, to the head of the front pastedown. In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Only a few light marks to the boards and spine. Spine is a little discoloured. Stamp to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Pop-ups are all smart and in full working order. Near Fine .
