Edited by S. Louis Giraud. The Bookano Stories began publication towards the end of the 1920s, and were the first 'automatic' books. Undated, dated from Jisc, from a copy held at the University of Nottingham Libraries. In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing and bumping to the spine and extremities, resulting in a small amount of loss. A few small marks to the boards and spine. Gift inscription and stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with a few scattered spots and handling marks. One of the stands of the first pop-up has torn and is detached.
